The region is easily accessible from the United Kingdom by air.  Ryanair flies daily from Stansted to Ancona and Pescara.
Car hire companies, such Avis, Hertz, Sixt, operate at both airports.  Further afield, Perugia, Forlì, Rimini, Pisa and Rome Ciampino also have Ryanair flights from various airports in the UK and Ireland.  Alternatively, British Airways flies from Heathrow and Gatwick to Bologna.  BMI flies from Aberdeen and Heathrow to Venice and from Birmingham to Rome Fiumicino via its low-cost subsidiary BMI Baby, while Easyjet operates routes from Luton to Rimini and from a number of airports to Rome.
Ancona also has flights from many other European cities, such as Munich, Frankfurt, Paris and Barcelona.

American Airlines  fly daily from JFK airport (New York) to Stansted (London), with onward travel to Ancona by Ryanair. Other intercontinental flights to Italy usually arrive at Rome Fiumicino, Milan or Bologna,  where it is easy to collect a hire car to reach Le Marche.

Serving half a million passengers annually, Ancona Airport is a convenient and modern gateway to the coast of the Marches region of Italy.

Flight services are catered to by a single passenger terminal. Despite its small size, the airport has a full range of facilities for visitors. A variety of bars, cafés and restaurants offer great meals and refreshments, while shoppers can hunt for last-minute bargains at the duty-free and regular shopping outlets. Financial facilities include a bank, currency exchange bureau and ATM machines.

Those who require special assistance or wheelchairs should notify their airlines when booking their flight. Specially fitted toilets, ramps and lifts are located across the airport. As for car parking, designated areas are available in the car park opposite the terminal.

The airport information booth and tourist help desk offer a range of services to ease passenger concerns and deal with any enquiries.

Ancona is just 17 km (10 miles) from the airport; and well signposted roads link the airport to the city. There are regular shuttle services to the city (contact the information booth for current timetables), and taxis are available for trips into the city and beyond.

There are short term parking spaces and long term parking spaces at the airport, and there is also a drop off/pick up area right outside the terminal entrance, and assistance is available for those with reduced mobility.
