Le Marche is rich in terms of sport and activities to keep fit. All around the Region Marche there are many facilities where you can practice new emerging sports or the most favorites, such as football, volleyball, basketball, swimming. Thanks to the variety of environments and landscapes in a few kilometers even in the same day you horse riding or mountain biking, trakking on beautiful paths or realize a dive excursions or practice numerous water sports such as sailing, windsurf, kitesurf. This is not all, there are sports for every kind of person, including disabled people, from fishing to chess or bridge, from table tennis to bowls, from archery to fencing. For adrenaline lovers the Marches offers motorcycling, motocross, paragliding, hanggliding, parachuting (skidiving), rafting. During the summer you can practice many sports to 'open air or in highly organized structures from the classic sports like football, basketball, volleyball, etc. to Beach volleyball, beach tennis: played in all the beautiful beaches that have teams in the national leagues. Mountain Biking widespread throughout the inland Marches through the Marche hills that make this medium ideal for discovering the natural beauty and flavors of wine typical of the Marche. Even in winter the Marches offers many attractions for sports lovers with its beautiful mountain resorts and its famous ski resorts located throughout the Region.
There is the “Monte Ragnolo” with 22km of ski runscard is the great ski resort located near Acquacanina.
The Monte Catria is the highest mountain in the Pesaro Urbino province and offers 9km of ski runs. Near the town of Frontone known as the "Switzerland of the Marches" for its beauty and climate.
The Sibillini Mountains National Park stretching 40km to 2000m high have ski resorts in Bolognola Inside there are also important historical villages, medieval churches and mills.
Even Ascoli Piceno with it Monte Piselli offers ski runs and winter sports. For lovers of skating point out the palace of ice Ussita in Macerata that offers tourists a covered structure among the largest and best equipped in central Italy. For the young there are snowpark: structures created specifically to make jumps and stunts worthy of a champion freestyler. Such plants are present in all ski resorts in the region and offer hours of excitement.
