Is this the new frontier of Real Estate Marketing for Le Marche?

It was a really intresting 2010 in what we had in the internet Marketing. Look back over the past 12 months and you can find lot to discuss: online marketing, social media marketing, the role of technology, mobile technology, blogging and so much more but still there are sector especially in Le Marche that prefere to invest in old technologies.

Even if, over the past few years there’s been an explosive growth in the number of things marketers can do online, it surprises as some real estate professionals from Le Marche have decided to promote their activity in an apparently “1.0 way”, in a TV Show that attracts spectators interested in interior design, home decorating, gardening and expatriate programmes.

Nobody if not holding the answer to the question: How will people look for homes in the future? can criticize their decision.

Actualy the formula of the show it is well experimented. This is the forth series and previously were presented several different countries: Dorset, Spain, Cyprus, France, East Sussex, Suffolk, Devon, Kent, Puglia, French Riviera, Abruzzo, Weymouth,Cesme-Turkey, Dublin, Donegal, Crete.

Central the pleasant figure of the presenter Jenni Falconer that would be really apprecciated by Italians. She guides and helps couples with various budgets find their dream homes in idyllic locations. Jenni’s search for seaside sanctuaries takes her all over the world, and throughout the series she will also dispense valuable tips and advice to those at home who want to try and turn their dreams into reality.

“Fantasy Homes By The Sea” is the title of the show and in “Buying in Le Marche, Italy”, Jenni explores properties in the coastal areas of the region for a busy Hertfordshire family with triplet boys.

The estate agents involved are:

Move 2 Marche with Renovated farmhouse (B&B) and an Equestrian farmhouse

Paradise Possible with a Traditional farmhouse

Vinci Properties with Renovation project

CasaItalia International with a Millionaire Moment Property

Impossible for the program to not shows some of Le Marche activities presented as (controversial for locals) “Top things to do”:

Go walking on the beach;

Chalet Duilio for “Visit a seafood restaurant”;

Visit the Frasassi Caves;

Fattoria le Terrazze for “Go to a Vineyard”

The Show is watchable on “Home” a UK TV channel, available on Sky 246 and Virgin 265, and on lovehome.co.uk in shape of articles, videos and photo galleries.

In an uncertain future, with the pace at which the technology formerly known as the web will continue to evolve and grow at an increasingly aggressive rate, it'up the young generations (surely not the institution that have invested millions on a video promotion with Dustin Hoffman) cut through the noise and being able to deliver information that’s timely and valuable to users will be where many businesses will need to focus, especially real estate.

Then is the time of his Extravergin Olive Oil, which produced in the municipality of Monte Vidon Corrado, is called "Terre Liciniane" in honor of the great master Osvaldo Licini. Last but prevailing in taste, the "Vino Cotto". Manufactured by Devis in small quantities that it must be tasted exclusively at his own restaurant in Sant 'Elpidio a Mare, Piazza Matteotti 1, in the shadow of the Tower Gerosolimitana. Locanda del Bacci, Mangeria.

Another Dutch Reality Show in Le Marche

Sandor (37) and Christa (38 ) from
Amersfoort Marsi live alongside each other for years. Sandor works
six days a week as a cook and when he comes home late at night, his
wife and the children Laszlo (9) and Zsusza (6) are already in bed
from hours. This needs to change, and so they decide to live
drastically to throw together in Italy to enjoy "La Dolce Vita".
In the province of Le Marche, near the university town of Urbino, the
couple rents for 35,000 euros per year a Bed and Breakfast with
swimming pool.

Here they want to rent rooms and offer
culinary classes. Everything seems cut and dried. Only the lease must
still be signed and then they started. But then there is an
unpleasant surprise. Upon arrival, the family property is not empty,
a mother lives there with her child in their apartment. The woman
does not intend to leave, but the Marsi have burned all their bridges
behind him. All in all a difficult position and Sandor must fight
hard to ensure that he will with his wife, children and entire
household contents will be placed on the street ...

More on www.ikvertrek.nl

Uitzending zaterdag 20 november 2010,
Nederland 1, 21.30 uur

Sandor (37) en Christa (38 ) Marsi uit
Amersfoort leven al jaren langs elkaar heen. Sandor werkt zes dagen
Dolce Vita’. In de provincie Le Marche, vlakbij de
universiteitsstad Urbino, huurt het stel voor 35.000 euro per jaar
een Bed and Breakfast met zwembad.

Hier willen ze gastenkamers verhuren en
culinaire workshops aanbieden.

Extravergin Olive Oil, the "Gold" of Le Marche

Oil and Diet

Oil has always been a basic element of
the Mediterranean diet, well known and appreciated all over the
world, for its taste and as a balanced and equilibrated supply of
calories.

In ancient times Greeks and Romans
already acknowledged nutritional and curative virtues of olive oil.

Today, having concrete scientific
proofs, dietologists and nutritionists all over the world confirm
that the olive oil is healthy and that it is a precious ally against
the “diseases of affluence”.

This wholesome food has almost no
saturated fats, and thanks to its high level of oleic acid, it
protects the heart and the arteries, slows down the bone aging
process, prevents the arteriosclerosis and reduces the cholesterol
levels.

If we add to these qualities the fact
that it is particularly tasty and that it is easily digestible, we
can deduce that it is a unique and precious nourishment that should
never be missing from our table. Extra-virgin olive oil is a
fundamental element in everyone’s diet and is also a source of
energy, quickly digestible, and because of that, it is widely
recommended in the diet of those who regularly practice sports.

It is excellent for children’s diet
because it is very rich in oleic acids. It is very useful late in
life since it prevents the arteriosclerosis and limits the calcium
loss in bones. It is rich in vegetable fats, so important for
supplying our body with health and energy. And last but not least, it
is delicious.

Marche and Olive Oil

There are many different qualities of
olive cultivated in this region, and their fruits are used both as a
food in itself and for oil production.

The cultivation of the olive tree has
ancient origins. Evidence of the quality of the olive oil from the
Marches can be found back in Medieval times when the ships, (coming
from the Marches region) in order to be able to berth on the shores
of Ferrara, were charged a toll, the ‘ripatico’, which took the
form of twenty five pounds of oil. This is the historical proof that
the oil from the Marches was considered to be superior to that from
other areas. In the thirteen hundreds, oil from the Marches was sold
to the Serenissima Republic and to Florence to the tune of over two
thousand five hundred oil jars per year.

Still today, over seven thousand
hectares (seventeen thousand five hundred acres) of specialised olive
groves with a production of forty five quintals per year produce an
extra-virgin olive oil with good organoleptic qualities and low
acidity. The typical varieties are "leccino" and
"frantoio", as well as the old, autochthonous species:
Ascolana Tenera, Ascolana Dura, Capolga, Carboncella, Cornetta,
Coroncina, Lea, Mignola, Nebbia del Menocchia, Nostrale di Rigali,
Oliva Grossa, Orbetana, Piantone di Falerone, Piantone di Mogliano,
Raggia, Raggiola, Rosciola Colli Esini, Sargano di Fermo, Sargano di
San Benedetto

The Olive Milling

Olive oil extraction is the process of
extracting the oil present in the olive drupes for food use

The oil is produced in the mesocarp
cells and the oil is stored in a particular type of vacuole called a
lipovacuole

Every cell contains a tiny olive oil
droplet

Olive oil extraction is the process of
separating the oil from the other fruit contents

These fruit contents are: vegetative
extract liquid and solid material

The modern method of olive oil
extraction uses an industrial decanter

All the phases are separated by
centrifugation

In this method the olives are crushed
to a fine paste and this can be done by a hammer crusher, disc
crusher, depitting machine or knife crusher.

This paste is then malaxed for 30 to 60
minutes in order to allow the small olive droplets to agglomerate.

The aromas are created in these two
steps through the action of fruit enzymes.

A bit of water is added to facilitate
the extraction process with the paste.

Afterwards the paste is pumped in to an
industrial decanter where the phases will be separated.

The decanter is a large capacity
horizontal centrifuge.

The olive paste is separated into two
phases: oil and wet pomace.

The phases are separated according to
their different densities

Advantages: compact machinery - one
decanter can take the place of several presses, continuous and
automated, limited labor required, highest percent of oil extraction,
vegetable water disposal less of a problem, olive oil from two-phase
centrifugation systems contains more Phenols, Tocopherols,
Trans-2-hexenal and total aroma compounds.

By Sean Lawler - Special to The Leader

The Italian trio was met with
enthusiastic applause as they gathered for their final bow Wednesday
night. Hands held high, the audience was clearly impressed by the
skill and prowess displayed by the night's performers.

Soprano Stefania Donzelli and violinist
Luca Marziali returned to Fredonia campus for what was surely a
crowd-pleaser. Accompanied by equally masterful pianist Paolo
Zannini, the troupe put on a fantastic display. Audience members said
Donzelli was, "pristine," and, "words cannot
describe," Marziali's violin sound.

Though Donzelli and Marziali both hail
from the Marche region of Italy, just north of Rome, on stage they
exude very different appearances. The first to perform was Marziali
dressed head to toe in black. Violin in hand he silently joined
Zannini and began to expressively serenade the audience. In contrast,
Donzelli appeared in a bright blue gown and gave the audience an
introduction to what she was about sing, excerpts from Giovanni
Pergolesi's Olimpiade. Her singing was full of personality.

Donzelli's start as a singer is
crisscrossing to say the least. She got her start with an American
singer, a New Yorker to be exact, who had lived in Italy for many
years. Donzelli said that her teacher had been trained by an Italian
since she was fifteen during World War II. In turn Donzelli was
taught to sing through this, "old Italian technique."

When Donzelli was seventeen she went to
the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, up the coast from Marche and she,
"never stopped." In 1990 she graduated with "highest
honors" and since then has been on the international stage
winning accolades such as the Monte di Treviso and the Pavarotti of
Philadelphia.

Marziali as well went to the
Conservatorio di Musica in Pesaro where he studied violin. He has won
scholarships and competitions which have been essential to his
success as a soloist and chamber musician. Marziali has worked with
an extensive number of people including Andrea Bocelli and
founded/leads the Orchestra da Camera delle Marche. Along with being
an accomplished performer he also teaches at the Conservatorio di
Musica Pergolesi.

Being on the international stage means
travel. Donzelli has extensively traveled all over the world to
perform from Japan to the U.S. and countless cities in Italy. The
frequency in which she performs varies; she could have five to six
concerts in a month, sometimes only one.

"It's hard to get away with two
kids," she said, but she isn't the only one in the family who is
musical. Her husband is an American French horn player from Miami.
They have performed together on several occasions.

"Italian singers like to be set
free," Donzelli said.

Donzelli, who has performed at many
different venues, describes her preferences in varying locations. It
is clear that she is a professional. She described performing in
Germany as, "punctual and precise," and loves to have that
professional quality. But at the same time she enjoys a less "strict"
and more relaxed setting in which to express herself.

"It's not a matter of time,"
she said in relation to the punctuality and precision of the German
stage. She always shows up on time to performances and rehearsals
again citing professionalism as a key element of her career.

Classical music, however, is not the
only style she listens to. Jazz and pop are just a couple of genres
she likes, specifically naming artists such as Christina Aguilera,
Madonna and Michael Jackson as a few of her favorites.

Her future projects include several
concerts in Italy as well as an opera she will be recording in the
near future. The trio will be moving on to do performances in Buffalo
and later Washington D.C.

http://www.fredonialeader.com/reverb/high-praise-for-visiting-italian-musicians-1.1717204

Le Marche Truffle Expert helps the Prince Philip: Marchigiani do it better.

Giorgio, can you help one’s
truffles grow: Philip’s fungi crop fails again so he calls in
Italian experts - By Nick Pisa - Daily Mail 11:29 AM on 3rd October
2010

Prince Philip has called in experts
from Italy to help him establish a truffle plantation at Sandringham.

The Duke of Edinburgh has been
desperate to set up a one-acre ‘truffiere’ since 2007. He even
spent £5,000 on special truffle-impregnated trees but they failed to
produce.

Now specialists Giorgio Remedia and
Gianluigi Gregori from Acqualagna in central Italy have been called
in.

They will fly in to carry out an
investigation on the soil at Sandringham on Thursday and advise
Prince Philip on the best way to produce the sought-after fungi.

With them will be Acqualagna’s mayor,
Andrea Pierotti, who said: ‘The Duke has long had a desire to
create his own truffle orchard and hopefully we will help him achieve
this.

'We are flying in to offer our expert
help and we will also give him some local white truffles which are
our speciality and advise him on how he can grow his own.’

Prince Philip is keen to cultivate
black truffles – nicknamed ‘black diamonds’ and costing as much
as £900 a kilo – as they are easier to produce than white ones.

They grow round the roots of beech, oak
and hazel trees and favour alkaline soil, of which there is an
abundance at Sandringham.

Three years ago the Duke planted more
than 300 £15 hazel and oak saplings impregnated with the Tuber
melanosporum spores in the Royal Fruit Farm, where he commercially
cultivates apples, gooseberries and blackcurrants.

The idea was to grow truffles that
could be used in the Royal kitchens or sold through the farm shop for
profits to be ploughed back into the estate.

Acqualagna is famous for its black and
white truffles. Mayor Pierotti said: ‘We heard the Prince was very
frustrated at the fact his crop was not producing fruit and he was
having trouble growing truffles.

‘We offered to give him a hand and he
gladly accepted. We will take soil samples from the estate and
examine them and hope to give an interim report there and then.

‘The samples will then be taken back
to Italy where they will be analysed in a laboratory and we will then
send a fuller report in a few weeks’ time. We are very experienced
when it comes to truffles and we hope to be of help.

‘We will also take samples from the
tree saplings just to make sure they were of a good quality – it’s
unlikely but the Prince may have been the victim of a fraud and

the spores not up to standard.

'I’m not as experienced as the two
experts who will advise Prince Philip but my initial reaction would
be that the climate in Norfolk is perhaps not best suited for truffle
growing.’

The area around Acqualagna produces
about two-thirds of Italy’s truffles – on average between 60 and
80 tons a year, which are worth more than £50million.

The mayor revealed that the area
supplied truffles to US President Barack Obama’s favourite Italian
restaurant in Chicago for one of his preferred pasta dishes.

The saplings planted by Prince Philip
on Sandringham came from Truffle UK Limited. Last night it was
unavailable for comment.

Acqualagna: Truffle Festival in Le Marche

Acqualagna in Le Marche is known as the truffle capital of the
world thanks to the - Fiera nazionale del tartufo.-

White Truffles are found in central
Italy, and are harvested in late Fall. The 45th National Festival of
the White Truffle begins on the 31st of October, and goes through the
14th of November in Acqualagna.

The festival brings foodies from
Europe, the US and even Japan.

Acqualagna is a town of less than 5,000
people, and it literally explodes during the festival. It's
recommended to make reservations ahead of time, even in surrounding
towns.

Senigallia crowned Italy's most energy efficient town

Tuesday, October 05, 2010 - Steph Engall

The town of Senigallia in the Marche has been declared the most energy efficient in Italy at the Klimaenergy Fair in Bolzano...

The town's administration has, in recent years, installed 4,000 square metres of solar panels on the roofs of houses, warehouses and public and private offices besides installing 983.77 kilowatts of photovoltaic panels in the town, including ground-mounted systems.

Receiving the prize, the Mayor of Senigallia said his town had demonstrated what a committed administration can do with regard to using renewable energy sources. He said that the town had applied the Itaca Protocol on "green building" and , with the water and gas supplier Multiservizi, will be installing small hydroelectric systems in suburban aqueducts. He added that his administration is determined to pursue green energy policies in the future.

The towns of Torre San Giorgio, Vipiteno and Bolzano also received awards for their energy policies at the ceremony, organised by Legambiente and Klimaenergy.

Source: Italy Magazine

Moresco: Proel lights Adriatic coast tower

Jim Evans - 28 September 2010 - www.lsionline.co.uk

Italy - Le Marche - Moresco is a medieval hamlet only few kilometers from the Adriatic Coast, in the Marche Region, and a 25m high heptagonal tower dating back to the 12th century is its symbol. On 26 June 2010 the municipality celebrated 100 years since its autonomy and Proel took care of the permanent Lighting system commissioned for the event for the ancient tower; the technical installation has been directly managed by the municipality.

In detail, the installation included seven Proel Nightwave PLAT150CNBKs - a DMX-controlled architectural colour changer with a 150 W discharge lamp and CMY colour mixing system - positioned at the base of the tower, in the corners. These will provide programmed colour changes or fixed colours, as Mayor Amato Mercuri himself explained at the Grand Opening, according to each type of event taking place during the year.

"At this point Lighting no longer means directing the light of a few fixtures toward an object, especially when that object has a high historical value in the urban context that hosts it, as in the case of the Tower in the municipality of Moresco," explains Proel Group's lighting product manager, Roberto Meggiolaro. "Architectural Lighting needs to be considered as a way to enhance the element that requires illumination, yet you have to avoid excessively spectacular renderings which could overshadow or, even worse, diminish the artistic value of the historical element. This is the concept we applied and we are very happy with the result of Proel's project for Moresco's Tower."

Urbino: Learning to let go with holistic therapy in Italy

Urbino unwind: Tense, tired or troubled? A novel holistic retreat in Italy's Le Marche region should help you de-stress.

‘If you do this for five minutes every day, you’ll be much better off,’ says our teacher, John. We are hitting ourselves in what appears to be a spaceship.

Welcome to the first ever ‘F*** It All’ week, a retreat holiday for those who have previously attended one of the ever popular F*** It weeks and want to dig deeper or, for newcomers like me, are just being thrown into the deeper end of learning to let go of stress.

Get away: The retreat, in the Le Marche region of Italy, combines relaxation and meditation with the chance to socialise and explore the area

.Retreat owners John and his wife, Gaia, escaped their London life to set up this holistic slice of heaven in the region of Le Marche six years ago. ‘What impressed us was how beautiful, wild and secret it felt – quite untouched and distanced from the tourist trail,’ says Gaia. ‘It is as beautiful as Tuscany but not as well known. As we explored the areas around Urbino, we immediately got the feeling we were in the right place.’

Back to the geodesic dome. We are shaking our arms as a part of qigong, a Chinese meditative practice that works with the energy in our bodies. We’ve done more than just hit ourselves, though. We’ve stood still with our eyes closed, danced with our eyes closed, breathed deeply with our eyes closed and now it’s time for the ultimate: shaking our limbs, hitting ourselves and dancing with our eyes closed. I try to hide a smile as I peek at those around me. At the same time, I can’t help but feel liberated as I throw myself around.

Dome class

.The easy-going life here is unlike most retreats. There’s no early morning chanting and little routine bar meal times, which consists of fresh vegetarian cuisine, and the two (non-compulsory) classes each day (except for Monday for a day out or more relaxing if you wish).

But what really enhances the experience is that neither the small team running it nor the guests take it all that seriously. We do a lot of laughing and one afternoon it’s hard to stop. ‘Settle down, man,’ David tells me in his broad Geordie accent. ‘You’ve got the giggles.’

Whoever knew downing tiny cups of green tea could make you feel as drunk as a couple of sips of bucks fizz at New Year when you were nine-years-old? Then again, this isn’t ordinary tea. Gaia uses some of the rarest, most expensive and highest-quality tea from China. A couple of ladies opposite are shedding tears from laughing so much. After eating some of the tea leaves, we conclude the ceremony on Guan Yin Wang, an oolong tea that has ‘more heart and centres you’.

However, the next day, I am anything but centred. In fact, I’m a bit lost. I’m running late for a bio-energetic full-body massage that should unblock my energy system, leaving me relaxed, more balanced and clearer in myself. Charging through several nettles off the beaten track as the bugs buzz around my ears, I stifle expletives upon finally spotting my masseuse, Margherita, standing outside her wood cabin. I say how sorry I am for being late but she seems more concerned about stripping me down to my pants.

I lie face down and close my eyes, as the room fills with a medley of intoxicating oils, from lavender to rosemary to carnation. Half an hour later, Margherita asks me to turn on to my back. As my boobs flop to my sides, I open my eyes momentarily before closing them again, concentrating on staying happy and relaxed in this serene, sleepy state for as long as possible. So what if someone walks past and gets an unexpected eyeful? F*** it, it’s all been worth it.

Sophie flew to Venice with easyJet (www.easyJet.com). Prices for a one-way ticket start from £29.99. Prices for a F*** It All/F*** It Week at The Hill That Breathes (www.thehillthatbreathes.com) start at €895. Rooms start at €75 for the week.
